I'm not a fan, but is he the best man to ever manage in this country? Time and again he has rebuilt teams and turned them into Champions. I feel he could possibly have done better than two European Cups, but the competition is much tougher to win than when Liverpool were hoovering up titles back in the day. No, for me me it's Ferguson first, the rest a distant second.

I'm not a footie fan, but when he was manager of Aberdeen, I do remember jumping up and down like a loony when Aberdeen won something in the 80's before he (Fergy) went to Man U.

Don't know what he does, apart from allegedly throwing things at his players, but whatever he does, it seems to work more often than not.

Yes he is. Every prem title has been won by a foreign manager and fergie is easily the pick of the bunch.

Don't forget paul, when liverpool were 'hoovering' up titles the qualifying campaign was 42 games long! It was called the 'previous season' and you had to be champions to enter. No top four finishes in those days, no seeded groups to keep the big boys apart until the latter stages, no two-team squads and thankfully no 'andy-get stuck in-townsend'.

He has, on his own, won more English titles than any English club in their entire history barring Arsenal and Liverpool.
If you add the titles won at Aberdeen it comes to 16 - and of course there may be more to come!
Even his middle name is the name of another of the great managers!
