One of the best baddies out there - better than anything Hollywood/Bond could offer.
RIP
My mum used to love watching the Saturday afternoon wrestling.....
I remember seeing him at Skegness it was great entertainment.
RIP Mick you and the rest of the boys made a lot of people happy on a Saturday afternoon
Wasn't wrestling a showman sport in the 60's as I remember. Was it not all for show on a Saturday afternoon.

Remember Billy Two Rivers. He became the body guard of Viv Nicholson after she won the pools.
Wrestling was always on TV on Saturdays, in the end it got too predictable, Les Kellett always seemed to be suffering badly then he'd suddenly come back to life and batter his opponent. Mick Mcmanus was a bit scary if I remember rightly.
Wasn't the commentator called Kent Walton? It used to come from somewhere up Derby Street in Bolton for a while.
Answerbank's insistence on reducing upper case to lower in question headings rather spoils RIP posts - although in the 60s I wouldn't have been surprised to hear spectators shouting "rip Mick McManus".
Zebo, it used to come from Wrighton Stadium at the bottom of Blackburn Road in Bolton. I also remember his tag partner Steve Logan. My Grandpa and I used to watch it every Saturday afternoon at 4pm.
