This is the first time I have heard or seen another product being named or implied as inferior to the one being advertised. Have you seen it ? Where the person being filmed says " I used to use Fairy, but I use Finish now ."
Bit naughty that don't you think. ? Will Proctor and Gamble retaliate ?

It's the same sort of thing with the Aldi ads, surely, comparing a well known brand to the cheaper Aldi variety?

Well Boxy...I clean forgot about them ! Yes it is the same.
My memory isn't good enough recall examples but I'm sure this sort of thing has gone on in the past. To a lesser extant the supermarkets indulge in that sort of thing as boxtops says. Asda being particularly active in that sort of stuff, naming 3 or more others. Just wish I can recall a single product example.
That reminds me, I must order a dishwasher :-)
i rather thought the same flump
Other than the supermarkets, i don't think it is that common to name other products either. They normally say "compared to the market leader" or whatever, don't they?
I think those ads are pretty stupid anyway...I mean "food bloggers"? What The Funicular?
