I went to a 40th last night and two of my closest friends had a punch up, horrible it was. Now I have to play piggy in the middle :(

I am actually wondering if she's got hormonal problem or is starting the menopause.
As for making up, I doubt it very much, I can live in hope though. I'm dreading the phone ringing today.

Hi Dizzy :-)
It's horrible. My cousins (brother and sister) fell out about 2 years ago and it's really awkward. I'm close to both of them. He's alright, he doesn't say much but she doesn't stop going on about it. She lost the head when a friend invited her brother to her daughters christening. Really lost the head. It's madness....

One can only cross their fingers rockyracoon..
I once saw a bar fight whilst I was at work and it was between two blokes. Both been drinking and one must of upset the other and then the other reciprocated by saying that his daughter wasn't his. 3 broken tables a smashed chair, 6 broken ribs and a broken nose later they decided to go home. The next day they were both spotted in another pub (in the beer garden) laughing and joking together.

Lol Ummmm, that's very true.
Prudie, yes it was proper fisticuffs, one poor girl will have a nice shiner this morning as she got a wallop whilst trying to separate them.
There are mutual friends but I think they will take the 'I'm not getting involve' route and I don't blame them.
I know I should ring the aggressor today but I'm taking the cowardly route, I'm just not in the humour today.

They are both grown ups (although maybe not acting like it) and it's their issue, not yours, and it would be very unfair of them to bring you into it.
These kind of situations are so difficult though, someone caused all kinds of issues in a group of my friends, has gone back years now and just escalated and ended up involving more and more people and some actual violent incidents. It just got ridiculous and the fallouts were huge and affected so many people who weren't even involved in any of the actual fallouts. I'm not saying it was solely on one person but there was a definite driving force.
At least it's a large social group of us though, much harder when three close friends, I do feel for you.
