FIGURE SKATING

There are four events in Figure skating. Men's, Ladies', Pairs, and Ice dancing.

This is Team GB ...


Ladies ... Jenna McCorkell, from Londonderry. Eleven times British figure skating champion.

Ice dance ... Nick Buckland & Penny Coomes. Penny from Maidenhead, and Nick from Nottingham, are three times British national champions. They competed together at Vancouver in 2010.

Pairs ... David King & Stacey Kemp. Stacey from Preston, and David from Carlisle are engaged to each other. They are the British champions.

Silje is nice, but snowboarding attire doesn't flatter the figure like a stretchy downhill skisuit, particularly when worn by......

Oh, but boarding gear is cool.

A lot of us (me!) ski in boarding gear.

If Jenna does well, the people of Coleraine will be celebrating. They might even have News items from Coleraine, with people in pubs watching the Games.

Jenna McCorkell has been a celebrity in Coleraine for many years, since she was a small girl training on the local ice rink.
I wish her all the best. And all the other UK athletes.

I still won't be watching though :-)
