was there an appeal for Bopara's dismissal? Personally I would have dismissed him 10 overs earlier and given everyone else a chance to score runs instead of blocking.

WBA, done up like a kipper and I'd like to think the ECB's grossly inflated management structure are starting a period of rigorous critical appraisal of this fiasco. I doubt it.
I don't think the review system works in ODIs, at least not these ones, so no request for review by players can be granted. But the onfield umpires can still hand decisions over to the TV umpire of their own accord. I suppose this must have happened but I didn't see the umpire drawing squares in the air. And I didn't hear the Aussies appeal in the first place.
