Has anyone mentioned tedious darts, a pub activity with delusions of grandeur?
What defines a "sport" that makes it an Olympic event? Much as I've been astounded by the snow-boarding half pipe etc., why is that now classed as a "sport"? Not being derogatory, just curious.
Sorry, jj- i have admitted this before - i can't see the point of curling. At least there's some excitement with the skiing and snowboarding. But i honestly think all sports are for doing. Not for watching other people do.
I was only saying this to my sister yesterday. When the local pond freezes over you don't hear the kids saying "Mum can I borrow your broom I want to go curling".
