Reminder: Be Kind, Even To Trolls

Just a quick reminder to everyone to show a little bit of restraint and compassion when it comes to "wind up" threads.

You have no idea what situation many people are in when they come to us for help - so please extend the level of courtesy as you would expect to receive in a time of need.

Assume they are genuine, report the thread if not. DO NOT RESPOND if your only contribution is taking the piss.

I shouldn't really have to say it...


Quick quiz:

Q: What should you do when you think a thread is from a troll?

A: Report it.

Q: What should you DEFINITELY NOT DO when you think a thread is from a troll?

A: Answer it.


Just report it, and leave it. It's simple.

I love to see humour especially within CB and other light-hearted topics - but the overwhelming desire by some to display their comedic talents is soured when spilled out into other more serious topic headings.

It could likely put genuine posters off after seeing those replies.

This is a bit like saying - body snatchers, o come on they have to live.....
or body snatchers well a lot -well most are dead at the end of the experiment.
or of wife beaters - well I dont think he beats her EVERY night......

I have mentioned this before on another site I was on, these people that think they are funny, let them think they are funny! I have, I will go out of my way like many on here do to help others, you do get the smart @rses that like to imidiately correct peoples grammer including myself, you also get " they think" quick wit bridgade, That site I was refering to was destroyed by "so called troll's", please don't let that happen to this helpfull, informitive site that gives out advice in all areas of life.
