I really did not want to back the fav in the National but there is no getting away from it's chances given the superb run in last year's event. So i've taken a bit of the 12/1. Also expected to run well is the Package @ 18/1 based on it's last time out 3rd which was franked by two good winners this week. But, having trawled through all the relevant stats for this race, i find that there are a handful who tick most of the 10/10 boxes and Chance Du Roy @ 33/1 is one of them. What's more, it has jumped these fences before to good effect (just the one circuit) and if - and some say it's a big IF - it's stamina holds out over a second circuit, it could very well reward punters at decent odds. Whatever you back, atalanta - and everyone else for that matter - good luck.
