Introduction to Jogging for begginers.
So, basically I feel out of shape and also unfit, at present gym (especially living in london) is not an option for me as it's well beyond my budget so I guess jogging's the only option at the moment. And I also like to take advantahe of the massive park at the end of my road.
I haven't done a proper run since leaving School, and I would like some advice as someone who is a complete novice to this activity, from the first beggining stages to advice on how to advance etc.
And I would also like other advice on how to keep fit that I could do without a gym membersip card.

Jogging's a great way to improve fitness and stamina and burn fat. Like Loosehead says, though, be careful of your joints- I've got shin splints so many times from overdoing it.
Start off slow and short- just getting out there for 10 minutes is an achievement. Work in intervals- jog for a minute and then walk for 2. This way you'll keep it up for longer. Then, as you feel it getting easier, you can increase the length and time of your run.
Make sure you warm up and cool down properly though- stretch those muscles out!
All of the above is good advise, but just amke sure you but some good RUNNING trainers if you are going to commit to it- it makes me cringe when i see people running in pub trainers- its like banging your knees on a wall.
why not try and do 50 sit ups and 20 press ups before you go, then build it up when you feel its ok.
