France are due payback for the biggest travesty at the 1982 WC in that Schumacher wasn't booked, sent off nor prosecuted for the attempted murder(ok, a bit strong!) of Patrick Battiston.

Oh well, looks like I won't be getting the experience of being in a country that wins the World Cup whilst I'm on holiday and I have no immediate plans to visit Germany.

I agree, no sense of urgency and an unwillingness to press from the French, they never got above average.
