Holding All Major Titles In Tennis
If Serena Williams wins the final , will she hold all major titles at the same time ( i think that's what i heard on the box the other morning ) ?
If that's correct , has anyone else ( male or female ) achieved that previously ?
Where does she rank in the tennis hall of fame ?

In the 1990s Sampras was dominant but I don't think I won the French Open ever; in long periods in the 1970s and 1980s I'm fairly sure that the men who could have held all four titles at once tended not to go to Australia to compete. That said, the Bryan twins have held all four Men's Doubles slam titles at once.
In the women's game it's happened more often, eg Steffi Graf won all four inside a year, and Serena's already held all four titles at once I think.

Rod Laver famously won all 4 Grand Slam titles in 1962 after which he did not compete for another 6 years as he turned professional.
After tennis went 'open' in 1968 he then did the same thing the following year. Which makes you wonder what he would have won as an amateur had he not been missing all those years
