A typical jogging speed is around 6 mph, so that would make it 1h 40m. PS: Does 'ruffly' (rather than 'roughly') mean that you're taking your dog with you? ;-)

1 & 1/2 hours?
Normal jogging rate is 5mph- to-6mph.

So two hours, or a bit less.
If you jog at 6 mph then 10 miles would take 1 hour 40 minutes.

Aha, spelling was never my strong point but I won't be making that mistake again especially after the dog comment! It will be ruffly, I want to go to tuff mudder. Thanks folks.

Tough not tuff
I assume that you don't normally run close to that distance or you'd have a good idea.

I'm a regular runner (but only 3-4 miles twice a week) at a reasonable pace and would expect it to take me 90-95 minutes for this longer distance. My wife jogs the same distances regularly and it would take her 110-120 If you haven't jogged for many years I'd allow about 2 hours 10 mins.

That may give you an idea. The time will depend on how fit you are.

If you are reasonably fit through occasional jogging/long walks) but not used to doing 10 miles then I'd say a little over 2 hours.

If you haven't jogged before then depending on your age and fitness I'd allow around 2 hours 30 minutes.

if you are going to make it a mixture of gentle jogging and walking I'd say 3 hours.
under 45 minutes if you're Haile Gebrselassie :-)
A friend was advised by her doctor to jog two miles a day, so it took five days to do ten miles.
If you're doing a Tough Mudder, then it's a an obstacle course, so the actual 'jogging time' is quite irrelevant. Watch out for the electric shocks!

Tough mudders not about time but I wanted a rough idea of hoe long it would take to see if I have the stamina for that amount of time.

Electric shocks?
My grandad's doctor told him to jog two miles a day.

After three months, we found him in Birmingham.
Yes, one of the obstacles gives you electric shocks (one of our doctors was a volunteer medic on this last year, and found this most bizarre)

Bizarre maybe but most sports and exercise looks so boring. Last time I went anywhere near a gym there were rows upon rows of people on running machines all facing a wall covered in flat screen TVs. They all looked like they were chasing the TV screen. That seemed bizarre to me. Tough mudders something I would like to do. I like obstacle courses, climbing and any day to day tasks that involves strength. It will be hard work but lots of fun, development of team work and a sense of drive and achievement.
Sacha, must agree with you that outdoor exercise is far more fun, although my resolve on this was a bit tested by getting absolutely soaked in the rain last night!
Enjoy your race.

Thankfully it's not a race- part of the attraction to it, as I am quite competitive and not very keen on running. Forgive me if I've misunderstood what you are saying but maybe you should slow down to your wife's pace and go for a jog with her, might take the pain out of it all.
