Scrum Cap Questions
7 Answers
Hello Guys,
So, I will be starting training soon(either Tuesday or Thursday) and I would like to know some stuff about scrum caps. What are the major advantages of them and does it matter what position I am? What are they like to wear? I think they look good but how much do they affect performance and other things etc.? Also, is it fun playing rugby in the mud? Oh and I am 5ft 2" would I be most likely put in scrumhalf hooker or what?
I need all the advice I can get!
Thanks.

(Although that site recommends a couple of particular suppliers, it still seems to offer some good advice anyway).

I was a prop and I mostly never bothered except when I had a bad gash down my forehead but other front 5 used them especially the guys with sticky out ears. Fortunately my ears are naturally pinned back but others can end up with Cauliflowers if they don't wear them. Any position wears them but mostly it's front 5.
