Sunday. All clear outside this morning. 3.1°C, so no frost. The slightest of breezes keeping the air moving. I'll settle for that! A welcome change after yesterday's all day drizzle.

Ireland did the job on Italy, 63 to 10! England were luck to beat Wales in the last few minutes. It was a good game to watch. I wish they's televise the women's matches too.

Have a happy day everyone.

Afternoon oz. Hows things down there mate. any news on the bushfire?

Good point ark! :o}

Nm me too.
Morning 1ozzy. What's the state of play out there?
Not good re bushfires Boaty.

Lot's have lost their family homes, their income.

The weather is hampering the fire fighters efforts.

We currently have three families of evacuees at our place wondering if their life efforts are about to go up in flames.

oz I'm so sad to see that. They must be devastated. The fires still burning?
Last night the fire subsided.
This morning a wicked wind blew from the west (hotter region) and has refueled things.

Lot's of families camping in the local sports club stressing about what they may lose. Lot's of families already have lost everything.

The fire is listed as "catastrophic" , It's been jumping containment lines, firebreaks and running rampart. Out of control!

Oh oz! I can't find the words to say what I want to. That's horrific.
So far the wind has been from the west, swinging a bit north, south.

If it does a 180 and comes from the east (which I doubt) we will be doing a runner. Grabbing things that cannot be replaced, kiddy photos etc, and moving very quickly.

All I can say is I hope it doesn't come to that...obviously! Nature can be a fair cow at times mate.
I don't know what to say, 1ozzy :-(
Hi Nom,

A part of life here during summer.

Doesn't make things easy but we do our best xx.

Have survived lots of fires, non quite as close as this one though.

Always a danger mate. The one I mentioned yesterday in Rhodesia wasn't done by nature, the crops were set fire to deliberately. Some evil gits about.
...and there was me feeling annoyed and sorry for myself as I've not been able to get on the internet all last night and earlier. Had to reboot the router.
Ozzy, are these fires towards Queensland by any chance?
Sorry, morning WBM, Ozzy, NoM, Arky if you're still about!
