Last time I read about this I recall that far more had been raised than had been distributed yet. There comes apoint where money can't really help a swhat these people need is a new home and until the council can find homes that satisfy the tenants this may take some time. i know teh council are trying to buy more properties but this will come from council funds rather than he charity money

18.9million is a lot of money, but split 200 ways wouldn't let them buy a garage in their location to continue accessing schools etc.

I'm not sure why anyone sees anything wrong with a Charity football match - there's no obligation to attend,contribute or indeed be involved in any form at all.

Mamy...there isn't anything wrong. I think its marvellous that people should give up their time for such a worthy cause.

Most, if not all of these people have lost everything.
Photos, gifts, possessions (ok you can replace a sofa etc) and some have lost their lives.
No amount of money given to each will make up for it, but imo, the response from the Council and some of the media reporting is deplorable.

I suppose it depends on your expectations. As I said when the tragedy first happened, if my house burnt down and I went to my local council for help they'd tell me to dig through the ashes for my insurance policy and get on with it. Then they'd show me the door (if I'd managed to get through it in the first place, that is).
