Derny Racing.

During the London Six Day event, I watched the individual Derny Racing for the first time. How does the Derny pilot know when to accelerate, I couldn't see any communication between the cyclist and the Derny pilot.

"Internationally recognised verbal instructions from the follower to pacer are:
To speed up – “ALLEZ”.
To slow down – “HO”.

Internationally recognised hand signals from the pacer to the follower are:
Clinched fist –Attack.
Left hand out – Slowing down.
Arm straight up – Derny breakdown"
