There was also Archie (someone) used to be Little John in the Richard Greene era of Robin Hood ( she said she beat him at high jump). She also used to take Andy's dad his snap at lunchtime (he worked in the Govan shipyard - like everyone's dad). Just thought you might be interested.
Yes, that's him! Thanks, Tony.
Interesting that they were all in a small area of Govan at the same time. Billy Connelly is a sort of cousin of mine as well - mum said she used to take him for walks in the park when he was very small (she said he was a beautiful little boy and she was very upset when she watched his performance on T.V.).

Jourdain,
I dislike Billy Connolly for no particular reason
Andy Stewart and the Alexander Brothers are the ones that I can vaguely remember from the TV when I was growing up. They were okay at the time but most of it sounds naff now.
Gaberlunzie, Runrig etc are more modern and enjoyable to listen to.
My brother's three kids are half Scottish and half English, the English half has lots of Irish blood in them.
We won!
