I suspect it will be impossible to avoid knowing the progress/result of the match - the outbreaks of public jubilation/dismay (delete as applicable) will ensure that.

But we can at least try to keep latest posts and the front page tidy by posting here?

I don’t bet much - certainly not online - and so will have a purely virtual punt on 1-1 at 90 mins and 2-1 Sweden aet ... but I do hope I’m wrong.
Question Author
Where are you watching the match?

I’m heading for The Pogue Mahone bar in downtown Bolzano for some cool aircon and cooler Guinness.
Dave, Beato te!
Here in this fekin flat :0/
Have some faith in your country .
Maybe you will find the two mysterious ladies there also watching the footie? If they are - why not ask them what was in the package they extracted from the hole in the wall ?
Question Author
German Commentary, talbot? I quite like the excitable Italians here.
Flonska......we sauntered across to the place where the package had been hidden.....trying to look inconspicuous.....
Dave is the tallest person here.....I am the whitest and very short.....looking inconspicuous is difficult...
Having read some spy novels I know that you should never look directly at a place you want to see so I used my powder compact to look over my shoulder.....I now have a crick in my neck......
In the long gap in the wall there is a down pipe with a bracket at the point where the package would have been very well hidden unless you are looking....
However our plan to keep watching for the placer or taker of the package has changed....
On the night we investigated we were roused from sleep at 4.30am by a strange alarm and a gunshot.....

Our interest in secret dead letter boxes and the like has vanished.....

Good luck, England....x
And ... here... we... go!
It was perhaps fortuitous not to further your sleuthing skills by using the powder in your compact to dust the pipe for "dabs" then?

If the two ladies are in the bar and wearing football shirts, perhaps the safest thing would be for the two of you to agree quietly to surmise that the package may have contained those items.

As to thinking why the shirts should be delivered in such a manner - come si dice per strada - don't even go there - especially if they happen to be yellow and blue ones!
I have UK sky set up, SD (shhhhhhh)
Piers Morgan was saying the other morning that he thinks we'll win comfortably over Sweden. I'm not so sure. I'm rigid with tension here.

However I think it will be quite a dull match with England going a goal up just before half-time. Possibly 2-1 to England at the final whistle.

Henderson needs to wind his neck in!
This England team are in unchartered territory here and the pressure on them is evident in their faces. They almost look like fish out of water.
Bit scrappy to start with though.
Question Author
Very bitty, Jim - barely two passes strung together by either side.
Let's hope that the English team don't have to stalk home defeated...I know, that's terrible.
Gee whizz, I'd half jumped out of my seat there...
England are improving very gradually (premature observation I know), Sweden look beleagured.
Methinks this ref has a low threshold of tolerance for rule-breaking or insolence from the players...
England, you beauties !!!!!!!
