I think France are slight favourites but Croatia have shown some real grit in this tournament. Once England are out I always want to see a new team win it so I'm backing Croatia.

Did anyone see the documentary recently about Scotland’s 1978 World Cup in Argentina? Fascinating stuff, with a surprisingly uplifting ending!

Steg; their 'keeper didn't have a save to make. Our only shot 'actually' on target was Tripp's goal - the one that was blocked on the line counts as a blocked shot, not one on target. So we would have been beaten 7-1.
I would like to see Croatia win the final because they are the underdogs.

And, still talking of 'keepers', the only 2 members of the squad who haven't had a game yet are the number 2 and number 3 goalies. T'would be nice if the manager gave them 45 mins each in the 3rd/4th play off. Course, i'm biased as Nick Pope is The Mighty Clarets keeper but it would be a feather in both their caps to be able to say, "I kept goal for England at the World Cup."

My son in law got Croatia in the draw at work, now he can openly hope they win and not feel guilty. My sis and binlaw go to Croatia on holiday, slightly off the beaten track for walking and they love it there.
