Just the thing to brighten up a dank and cold January - the Barbados Test kicks off the England tour of the West Indies.

Fabulous pictures on Sky - 10,000 England supporters filling the stadium - like a home match - but with sunshine :)

England drop Stuart Broad and play Curran and Adil Rashid - I'd not like to have been the person to tell Stuart that ... probably the right decision (the pitch seems to have been crafted from plasticine), but still a brave one given that they're using the Duke ball and Broad's record.

Windies win toss and bat first ... now - is it too early for a Red Stripe?

obviously going for bowlers who can bat, except Anderson who gets in regardless

Fabulous moment as Sobers and Garner present his cap to the new Windies opener, John Campbell - the love and respect that the current team have for the two legends was very obvious.

Dear Sky

Enough with the pink & porky male torsos - I've not long had my breakfast.
I remember going to Barbados on holiday and the Windies were on the flight. They all looked super cool with their black suits and shades. I was sitting amongst them and when we put our flat bed seats down, I was very close to my companion. So I can officially say I slept with one of the West Indian cricket team :)
Mmmmmmmmmmmm, Red Stripe.

The stealthiest of beer buzzes. :-)
can anyone tell me why the England players are wearing black armbands, thanks
In memory of Ruth Strauss.
Many thanks for the lightening response
what's the score on the doors?
West Indies batting, off to a decent start but Stokes just got a couple of wickets, so it's 134-3 as I type.
guess they are in the 3rd session now....
and thanks Jim.
day ended well for England, not that I saw much of it.
What a disgrace!!!!!
all out for 77 - well done England - NOT.
blimey, I didn't see that coming. (Not least because I wasn't watching, but gosh!)
On hearing that, I collapsed.
