I don't particularly like Tyson Fury. He is, what my dear departed mum would call, "A gob on a stick." However, I very much respect his prowess in the boxing ring. He talks the talk and walks the walk. In the early hours of this morning, he destroyed the hitherto unbeaten American, Deontay Wilder, so much that the American's corner threw in the towel in the 7th. Fury does what it says on the tin. Respect!
I tried to, Anne, but I dozed off and woke in my chair at silly o'clock, after the fight had finished:-((( Which is what happens almost every time I stay up late to watch a world title bout:-/
The fight was posted on youtube early this morning. Fury landed something like 58 punches to Wilder's 18. Totally outboxed and dominated him. If that thump round the ear, that had Wilder down resulted in an inner ear injury or busted eardrum he may never get back in the ring.
I was surprised that his corner sent him out for the fourth round. He could hardly put one foot in front of the other, without wobbling about, at the end of the third.
