Get A Grip

I really need to replace my golf grips.but I never seem to buy those that are value for money.I know that you shouldn't "penny pinch" when buying grips,but being an "old boy" I have to watch the money I spend.In an ideal world I'd like grips that are multi compound ,std and black I should be so lucky !!!! Any suggestions please other than give up golf??
