Comrade Rublev was a complete disappointment and Djoko lost his first set of the tournament, leaving me with just a double which returned approx half of my total stake.
Nadia Podoroska has been the big surprise of this year's French Open, punching way, way above her weight. However, Iga Swiatek has yet to drop a set and has looked the most likely winner of this tournament. Swiatek 2-0 @ 8/11
Sofia Kenin may be ranked higher (6th) than today's opponent Petra Kvitova (11th) but i believe the latter's experience will possibly be the deciding factor in what could be a very close encounter. Kenin has had to battle to get to the semis but Kvitova has breezed through and has yet to drop a set. She may have to dig a bit deeper today. Kvitova to win 2-1 @ 3/1
Rafael Nadal is a 12 time winner of the French Open, clay being his preferred surface, and he has cruised through the earlier rounds, tested only in the first set in his 3-0n victory over Jannik Sinner in the last round. He ought to beat Diego Schwartzman comfortably, especially as how the Argentinian had such an arduous last round 3-2 victory which took a gruelling 5 hours plus. He could give Nadal a problem or two and i take him to at least win a set. Nadal to win 3-1 @ 13/5
Stefanos Tsitsipas is playing some great tennis at the moment and swept aside Andrey Rublev in the last round. His opening round victory went to the wire, but since then he has not dropped a set. However, he is up against the mercurial Novak Djokovic who only dropped his first set of the tournament yesterday. Dropping that set can only serve to stiffen Djoko' resolve and i take him to go through to face Nadal in the final. But he will have to be at his best. Djoko to win 3-1 @
