He was named, with lots of info about his life and career, in newspapers on Thursday, but only today have TV and radio done so. I'd love to know how the investigators got onto him.

Brainiac, I think they picked his car up on a bus cctv footage and suppose run his number plates.

Nieve is correct - a bus CCTV caught his car and number plates parked up right where she walked. What happened next I don’t know but theories are going around that he got her into his car by way of showing his warrant card. As I said that’s a complete theory and could be nonsense, but he was seen on camera parked up where she walked. X
