Can anyone tell me how I can find out how to create a football league table using excel from results which I input. I know this may not be as easy as telling me over this site, so if you know where I can find out, it would be appreciated.

You mean that you enter the fixtures and the results and excel does the calculations and displays the league tables?

This would be really lengthy I think - there must be better ways of doing it, e.g. on a webpage : I've done that already.
I've done it Access... sad I know!

I've done it in Excel - it's a bit long-winded! Briefly, you have your columns of results. I then created 3 columns from those which basically is TRUE or FALSE for either a win, loss or draw - you can then use a formula to add up all the wins/draws/losses for each team (and the appropriate points), both home and away, and turn it into a league table.

If you don't have any luck with that I'll post my spreadsheet somewhere!

I could send you the formulae, but maybe this site will suit you
