Without doubt the most eagerly awaited new season for quite a while (in my view anyway) - the new regulations have leveled the playing field a bit.

Ferrari look good (although they often flatter to deceive) and some of the fringe teams have had a very good practice week - whilst Mercedes seem to have a whole porpoise full of problems with Hamilton's car.

Wow - proper racing with proper overtaking rather than being won in the pit stops.

Ferrari get a well deserved 1-2 and karma arrives in the desert for Red Bull - more please!
Let's hope Mercedes can sort out their issues sharpish , so we can have another team in the mix .

I heard that dreaded - look after the tyres / don't push , was uttered .

As DC said , let's have a tyre that can race ,for Pete's sake . It can't be that difficult - surely
!!!

Nice to see Hass doing well compared to previous seasons
Pirelli are only obeying orders.

The formula has been de-clawed though and is a shadow of its former inovative self. Too much tinkering by the money men.

I did have a happy moment as Team Spice failed though. What a cheer went up in the stands. :-)
won't pass the MoT test with them tyres!
Lewis Hamilton will have stood on that podium, looked down on Red Bull's garage and then looked upwards and thought 'there is a God after all.'

Short term delight , yes

However RB are looking super competitive ( Sundays issue aside ) .
You can't count on them having reliability issues .
Mercedes have got to have a car that can fight at the front

The Ferrari engine seems to be well ahead at the moment - Haas and Alfa are both engine customers of Ferrari and did very well.

Great to see K Mag (a good bloke by all accounts) back in the sport and in a decent car.

The twittersphere seems to be convinced that Red Bull simply didn't put enough fuel in their cars - the fuel pumps couldn't extract the last few ml from the tank and so the cars ... stopped.
Word has it that a spectator was seen heading from the direction of the RB garage , the night before ,with a couple of Jerry cans .

Apparently his car had run out of juice a few miles from the circuit
Amazing start to the season. One which has seen me re-subscribe to SkySports F1.

Another cracking race - shame that Perez had a bit of bad luck with his pit stop strategy being ruined by Latifi hitting the wall, but the subsequent Verstappen/Leclerc tussle was good value.

More please :-)
