Do you like watching it? Dr Johnson said, "Sir, a woman's preaching is like a dog's walking on his hind legs. It is not done well; but you are surprised to find it done at all!"
Could this apply to football?

Don't please get me wrong, I think there are lots of sports women are good at & a pleasure to watch, golf, swimming, athletics.
It's probably me, but I fail to get excited about it.

Stand back & waits for onslaught.

Well clearly not stableford for the record tv audience of over 17 million for the final
that's going some isn't it, over 17 million watching a womens game, great news and not before time......
17.4 million to be precise. The highest number of viewers all year. So viewers switched on not off.

The BBC have milked it because they had the broadcast rights. I assume Murdoch will out bid them for the Women’s World Cup next year. So more money for the Sport but a fraction of the viewers on Sky.

1ozzy ; No it's about Women & football, but tell that to Zacs-Master who has said nothing on the subject of the OP, & who first posted after 100 entries with his trolling of me (posts 101 & 142). I've apologised for the deviation a couple of times, but sometimes, somethings have to be said, & it is after all, my thread.
Today’s newspaper front pages are still trumpeting England’s women’s win over Germany…

If the men's team had won, it would have been even wider and more prolonged coverage ...
Going back to the OP, I agree with Khandro. Womens' sport doesn't do anything for me. Mens' sport is more skillful, exciting, more physical. That's just the way it is folks. It's reality, not misogyny, so stop da bitchin'! :o)
You didn’t find Sunday’s final exciting ?

You are in a minority with that view. I watched with about 100 other people (men and women) and everyone was thrilled.
I'll ask you again, 10Clarion. What are the limitations of women's football that you can see and most others can't?
I found it very refreshing to watch a game with no diving, play acting or getting tape measure out to find out who has the biggest ***!
It was, Helen. A joy to watch football for a change.
Red and Gness. Agreed.

Hopefully no HABs with women's football!!
What are HABS? no husbands and boyfreinds?
I assume HABS is the equivalent of wags.
Well more of them seem to have wives/female partner's than husbands so you may be right.
But whatever, the team palyed great and are an inspiration to young players male and female and those not so sure
Yes Bob, my own word for Husbands and boyfriends! And I doubt that any HABS out there would seek publicity! Might be wrong there!
I hope it is an inspiration to young ladies everywhere, you've had some fun... now how about that washing up and ironing

;-)
gness @ 09.13:

"I'll ask you again, 10Clarion. What are the limitations of women's football that you can see and most others can't?"

I refer the honourable member to my post @ 08.53. And I commend it to the house!
I hope, Bob, that you are not presuming that a lot of girls who play football are gay. Not that it matters. Sexual preferences should not be part of this question.
Crikey, I really have pushed Khandro's button/s here haven't I!

'it is after all, my thread' Putting to one side the incredibly childish nature of that remark.....Yes, a thread you knew would be controversial hence your comment 'Stand back & waits for onslaught'.
Your Dr Johnson quote is deliberately provocative and verging on misogyny.

Yes, on the subject of the OP.
Quite different from your nasty personal ad hominem posts against me, having nothing whatever to do with women's football.

The only way to deal with persistent trollers is to out them, which I shall do in future if you continue at every opportunity.
