dodgy decision left them a woman down after 17 mins but they nearly pulled it off. There's no way NZ could have beaten a full strength England side.

dodgy decision? There was no way that could have been anything but a red. It's for player safety, and the absolute onus is on the tackler to avoid head clashes. It she'd gone lower she would have been okay (and the one she tackled wouldn't have been knocked out).
Shame about the result but great to see a full stadium to cheer on both teams! loved it
the next cup will be in England in 2025; I expect the crowds to be huge by then. Great to see it catching on at last.
You can't expect 14 players for almost all of the game to beat the Black Ferns in a world cup final.

It was a straight red card.
Definitely a Red for reasons jno states above.

Good match and great grubber kick and final pass for the try at 71m.
ah, the men are out of the RL cup in extra time. Very nearly a great comeback there, though since they beat the same team 60-6 first time round, they have gone backward a bit.

Still an excellent chance in the T20 final though, if they play the way they did against India.
Could be very rain-affected ...
indeed, a three-way series between England, Pakistan and La Nina
hmph, England's RL captain: "In the first half they struck us with two tries I didn't think they deserved."

He could learn something from the grace and respect that both the women's RU teams showed toward each other.
