What he endured and achieved in the years since his diagnosis is truly amazing. His family, friends, supporters and medical team have been wonderful. He was a superb sportsman, husband, father and an amazing fund raiser for MND research and he will be be so sorely missed by many for an eternity. Hope Beckham feels inclined to make a donation in his memory...
Yes Minty a sad day. "She who must be obeyed" and I were talking about his death and agreed that besides being a top player, he was also a scrupulously fair and well-informed commentator. If he criticised your team for foul or poor play you could accept it. Because he did exactly the same for his beloved Scotland. R.I.P.Doddie Weir.
