I have just entered a competition to win an electric bike. Can these bikes be recharged at home or do they need to go to some special recharging point?

I wouldn't charge one overnight.
Some of them have sparked fires.

I wouldn't charge one at home either. Have you an asbestos shed still standing at the bottom of your garden ?

Actually that goes for EVs of all sorts. Those battery fires can be awful fierce, and often have to burn themselves out. Not something you want in your garage, nor next to your home.

I live in the city centre and have no outdoor space at all.

I will see if I win it first. I haven't won anything for ages - probably more than a year.
