RIP aged 78, one of England's cricket greats.
I can remember being at the Oval when he shredded the Ozzies with both bat and ball.

Underwood was indeed a superb player and his left arm spin bowling would be very much at home in the modern game. Also gone this week is the wonderful Raman "Subba Row" died aged 92 after another long innings. He was until Wed. last Englands oldest surviving test cricket player. He was also the last of the amateurs. Went on to reform the cricket administration, much to the chagrin of the "old school establishment", after retiring aged 29 to earn a living. He even fined Glenn Mcgath for spitting on the pitch in the direction of a Windies player. R.I.P Subba I would have given you Not Out.
