The 'Burnley Express' To Retire From Test Cricket
Jimmy Anderson has announced he is to retire from test cricket after England's 1st test against the Windies this summer.
I'm not a cricket fan, but i am immensley proud of the fact that Burnley's Jimmy Anderson is the country's highest wicket-taking bowler of all time and the only seam-bowler to have taken 700 test wickets.
Age catches up with all of us, though, and i sincerely hope he enjoys his retirement.

I hero-worshipped Fred as a kid, still think he's unassailably the best in my estimation, but Anderson runs him a close second. I also hope that he has a happy and long retirement.
Thanks, Jimmy, for all the thrills.

Jimmy Anderson will certainly be missed though:

sadly, Jofra Archer isn't on the list - a brilliant fast bowler until his captain foolishly bowled him into the ground, and now recovering from long-term injury. I don't see him ever playing in tests again. The current Bazball regime are much more protective of their bowlers, but too late for Archer.
