Her view is (paraphrasing) only biological women are women, which is (a) a view shared by the vast majority of the population and (b) an immutable fact.

A suspended sentence  for a death threat !

Within the terms of law (covered on another Farage thread) a death threat is a serious assault, the maximum penalty for which is five years in prison.

In a Magistrate's court (where this case was tried) the maximum sentence is twelve month in gaol and/or a fine.

In a Crown court, the maximum gaol sentence is two year.

Hi CBL - max sentences have nothing to do with sentencing guidelines

Threats to kill are punishable by up to 10 years in prison, but most offences will not receive such a hefty sentence. The usual offence range is between a community order and 7 years’ custody. Threats to kill is an either way offence, which means that it can either be heard in the Magistrates’ Court or the Crown Court.

the problem with having jail time for a threat to kill, is that you hear it in a pub, online etc everyday.

Perhaps MPs should be a special case (a bit like emergency workers) where threats to kill are aggravated because of the person's position?  it's certainly a threat to democracy too, so i dnt see why they couldnt do that

These pond-life would think twice about making such threats.

Perhaps if it was a threat to high-profile Muslim they would be straight into the slammer.
