Right-on liberalism has a lot to answer for and IMHO this is not acceptable in any shape or form.
When are the authorities going to get tough on this?

A suspended sentence for a death threat !
Within the terms of law (covered on another Farage thread) a death threat is a serious assault, the maximum penalty for which is five years in prison.
more accuracy on AB I see.
The worst thread for a Tory is to say: "I will vote Labour and YOU will be on the dole queue - just like me!!"
( and Tory candidate goes " scream scream scream, I am being harassed. Erase Debase Faze (*) him! scream etc"
Faze I have decided is " zap with a phasar" - makes sense to me
Hi CBL - max sentences have nothing to do with sentencing guidelines
Threats to kill are punishable by up to 10 years in prison, but most offences will not receive such a hefty sentence. The usual offence range is between a community order and 7 years’ custody. Threats to kill is an either way offence, which means that it can either be heard in the Magistrates’ Court or the Crown Court.
which is kinda unhelpful really
Threats to kill
Offences against the Person Act 1861, s.16
Guideline effective from: 01 October 2018
Triable either way
Maximum: 10 years’ custody
Offence range: Community order – 7 years’ custody

the problem with having jail time for a threat to kill, is that you hear it in a pub, online etc everyday.
Perhaps MPs should be a special case (a bit like emergency workers) where threats to kill are aggravated because of the person's position? it's certainly a threat to democracy too, so i dnt see why they couldnt do that
