Flights, match tickets, a modest hotel, a few drinks, and meals, could cost quite a bit.

And the more successful their team is, the longer they'd stay.

I'd guess if your team had a good run it could cost the fan £3000 or more.

Depends on the team Scotland will be cheap as chips!

more than 3k i would have thought, especially if your team gets through to a later stage

One or two might also pay with a criminal record!

I said this to OH last night actually - I just said how on earth do all these fans, and their kids in some places, afford all of this!? Must cost an absolute bomb!

Their missus is probly off down the food bank while they enjoy the footy!

As it was obvious for a time that some teams would qualify for the finals, i'm guessing that many of the attendees, from all countries, are using this tournament as their annual holiday and will have saved accordingly. Perhaps their spouses/children are with them and, when they are not watching their national team play, they are taking in the sights of the area in which they have based themselves.

If you have seen any of the games, you will surely have seen many women and children in the crowds.

Cheaper to follow at the pub on their TV. Beer's probably cheaper there, and you can indulge while the game is on. Meat pies too.
