Does anyone out there remember a series many years ago called 'United'? I used to enjoy it when I was a little girl. It was about a football team and really thats all I can remember. Oh apart from the fact that the guy who played Ken Masters in Howards Way was in it I think. It would be nice to know that someone else remembers it because I know of no-one who has ever heard of it and I'm sure people think I am imagining it. I bet some of the actors have gone on to other things.

I also recall a programme called 'The secret life of Edgar Briggs' which starred David Jason and again, no-one remembers this either.

I'm beginning to wonder if I have imagined all this

I vaguely remember it, Jan L because some of the scenes were filmed at Stoke City, my club!!

And I also remember the David Jason programme so you certainly weren't imagining it!!

I also remember both shows, although "United" stands out the most in my memory. Mid-60's, Brentwich Football Club. Cast included Bryan Marshall and George Layton.

"Edgar Briggs" was an incompetent private-eye character who managed to solve the crimes despite his lack of ability for the job.

I remember a footie-based series in the mid/late 70s(?) with a some Scottish actor playing the Manager. I think either his real name or his character name was "Ken.........."?
United players included Danny South,Zak Bishop and Larry Lamb(Real Name) who went on among other things to star in Triangle and The Bill.
