Been going to the gym everyday now for three months to loose the extra pounds put on over Xmas, I am also eating my most healthiest and I still cant loose the weight, if anything ive "bulked up".
What are the best exercises to loose the weight but not build the muscles. The stair climber has given me legs like a rugby player, and ive heard that bikes will do the same to your thighs !!!
Should I just be walking/jogging, with toning exercises to finish with?
Got hols in five weeks I NEED to loose this weight :-((

Brisk walking, swinging your arms ( I believe it's called 'power walking') is supposed to be excellent, jogging isn't the best for your knees though

I don't hjave an answer, but you have my sympathy, as the same sort of thing happened to me.
Me & the wife went to the gym regularly for 2 years, with exercise programs etc set by the instructor. I think my target was to lose about 8% body fat and I never managed to lose more than 2%. I definitely was no thinner, nor lighter, after 2 years effort. I was healthier/fitter, but never lost any fat. I gave up after that.

I never do the gym or weights until I've lost some weight otherwise you just bulk up what you've got. For a quick fix I always do a high protein diet, which means that as long as there is more than double the protein than that of carbs in whatever you're eating thats ok.
It's only a quick fix tho as its not over healthy..... I eat eggs, red meat, prawns and fish, alot of which are high in fat but I do tend to lose about 8-10 pounds in a couple of weeks, then I'll start exercising and i'm just toning up the new slimmer size !
Be careful tho coz its not great for you colesterol levels sometimes. I only do it if I'm desperate.
