Not sure if this is the right category...
To cut a long story short...The house next door to my parents is up for sale, a work colleague/friend of mine used to rent the house and was an alcoholic, unfortunately he couldnt get himself out of his downward sprial and he ended up being found dead on the bedroom floor by his son who was 15.
The house has fallen into massive disrepear and the opportunity is there for me to look into buying it and 'doing-it-up' as i know the owners.
my question is would any of you feel put off by the fact that someone you know died in it?

Thanks for all the answers...it normally wouldnt even cross my mind but because i knew the person and knew exactly which bit of the room he died in it would just cross my mind...it would need a lot of work so would be dramatically changed in appearence which i guess would help....once i got rid of the smell!!
I've lived in many houses where people have died and in one where my friend took his own life. These souls pass on and no way was I worried about living where these people/friends had lived. Go get the place as the departed have better things to do than concern themselves on who is living in a home that was theirs in their past life.
