Power supplies in America, France & Ireland
I recently bought a HP computer in America and am now moving to France. Can I use the computer in France and do I need to change the AC adapter? Also, is the power supply in France the same as in Ireland?

For more on marking an answer as the "Best Answer", please visit our FAQ.The USA electrical systems supplies 120V (at 60Hz). The EU standard (which applies to both France and Ireland) is 230V (at 50Hz). So you'll need a different AC adapter in France.
Although Ireland and France have the same electrical supply, they use different plugs. This is the one used in France:
