I received a ticket from a private clamping company on a coop car park when I was in the shop, I am refusing to pay as there was a no parking sign that could not be seen from my side of the car, and no other indication that it was not a parking bay, it was not causing an obstruction. A letter has arrived saying that if I do not pay 130.00 I will be summonsed to court under trespass and torts ruling, and that they may impound my car, what does this all mean, I ignored the ticket because I seriously thought it was a con because the ticket issuer was stood by my car asking for imediate payment and the ticket and subsequant letter are of very poor quality and full of spelling mistakes, I have not heard anything from the courts, please help. just simply go back to the shop in question, the co-op,and ask to speak to the manager and explain the situation to him nicely and see what he has to say about it all,if it is a scam, contact the police,if its real, then there must be signs up somewhere,so check it all out first, then you can decide which way to go with it.
