Dogs and foxes
67 Answers
My 2 Jack russels killed a fox in the garden yesterday. I got rid of the fox and de-fleaed the dogs. Was wondering if i should take the dogs to the vet ? Incase they have caught something... Also does this mean that my usually friendly dogs are now going to be hard to control..

LOL, don't worry, I hardly think your two dogs will be classed as a pack of hounds, and the only problem you might get is mange, so make sure you bathe your dogs well and if they do start itching then get something stronger from the vet to bath them with.
I doubt if it will make any difference to your dogs behaviour, just that they will be more keen to chase any other foxes daft enough to come into your garden.

Can I borrow them please, there is a fox coming in my garden at night and the place stinks!! my dogs GSD's mostly choose not to hear it,(it disturbs their sleep lol) having said that, if they saw a fox then it probably wouldn't last long, I live on a farm over-run by the bl***dy things, I recently had to fork out over 100 to treat all my dogs for mange as many of the foxes around here have it, don't worry about what others are saying, I doubt they would be so concerned if you had said it was rats your dogs had killed, foxes are classed as vermin as well. and just because a dog does what nature intended doesn't make it a baby killer.
