I agree with Geez.

Only footballers are (a) thick enough, and (b) sufficiently ignorant of the officials, to need treating in such a childish way.

They should let the refs do the same as in rugby ... if a defending player infringes, the kick moves 10 yards forward. If that takes the free kick into the penalty box, the free kick becomes a penalty.

Or ... instead of "free kick spray", give the refs a can of mace.

If a defender tries to edge closer than 10 yards, just mace the ba5tard.

lol...It does anoy me when they dont move back,but blinding them with mace might be taking it a little bit to far....!(:O)

Vinny, initially that may be the case but in the end they'd put their house in order. The managers and players themselves would learn. Monkey see monkey do! get it!? Or are you saying that footballers have no learning ability whatsoever?
