Hi ust watched a channel on tv showing the 1980 F.A. Cup Final. between Arsenal & West Ham & both teams were wearing their away strips (Arsenal yellow tops, blue shorts. & West Ham in all White). Does anyone know why one team wasn't wearing their normal home strip?

The rule is when the first choice kits clash (Both Arsenal and West Ham at the time wore white shorts and socks, as well as their tops being the same for viewers with black and white televisions) Both clubs had to wear "away colours" unless they reached an agreement.
