Has anyone had Mens Brooks Adrenaline GTS 8 trainers? If so, how would you rate them?

Also, are there any running shoes you would recommend for flat footed person who suffers shin splints running a marathon?

Are motion control shoes uncomfortable because of the ridge in the middle?
