Anyone saw this on the news today.....

http://news.sky.com/skynews/Home/UK-News/Teach ers-Have-Blasted-Health-And-Safety-Guidelines- In-A-New-Poll-Conducted-By-Teachers-TV/Article /200906315311679?f=rss

I couldn't find the article in the BBC news website,so I found it here instead.Isn't it crazy that you have wear goggles when using Blu-Tack.I find this a really petty rule, and for running in the playground is absolutely pathetic. How on earth is anyone going to stop kids from enjoying their freedom in the playground. How are young kids supposed to play football then. You have to run with the ball obviously. So I guess you have to walk with the ball now then....have they got anything better else to do than make up stupid rules like these.
I loved playing conkers when I was in school. No rules for them things in my day.It might have hurt a bit when the conker hit your opponent's hand by mistake, but that was part of the fun.As for Blu-Tack though,I mean goggles!!!!!
Geez, that is really taking it too far!!
What you lot say about it then!!
Do you agree that these rules are going OTT?

Totally OTT but they sadly reflect the litigious minded society in which we live.

We used to get up to all sorts when I was at school but I wouldn't recognise schools today. Mind you it is a long time since I was at school.

Just to give one example, though, we used to make slides out of the ice on the tarmac in the playground and I once fractured my wrist when I fell over. My parents in no way blamed the school, and rightly so.

But times change and if there's one thing we've learned from the Yanks, it's "Sue the ass off the b*stards!" How sad.
