i know this! its a player who had the surame never and scored the winning goal in a 1-0 win for preston north end in the fa cup final! this was at my man united footy school! don't know the year though!

Nobody called Never played in a Cup Final in the 60's. By the way,I heard this question in 1952.!!

wilkesneil, when W B A won the cup in 1968 there was no player named never in their team, Jeff Astle scored the only goal in extra time, someone has been taking the pi$$ out of you.

In the 60s the mythical player was Billy Never who supposedly scored in the cup final 1930s/40s. No doubt in 1930s there was similar quiz question about alf Nver who scored in the 1900s.
But it would be nice if it turned out to have been true
