GILES CARTOON QUIZ !! ( FAO:- LIE IN KING )

Is it me or is the question badly worded. The wording is " In 1954 the Crufts competition was cancelled due to an electricians strike. The show has only ever been cancelled twice, in which other year was Crufts called off ".
The Crufts website and Wikepedia, other sites etc. say that the only other time/s Crufts was called off was during the two world wars so in theory Crufts would have been called off from 1915-1918 and 1940-1945. Crufts would have been held in 1914 and 1939 given the fact that Great Britain did not enter the wars until August / September.
Appreciate the fact that I have had a couple of cans of lager Sunday am before returning to work on Monday but feel that the question is ambigous.
Lie in King's take upon this would be appreciated.

I thought exactly the same when I read it earlier and googled only to get the same result as you.

Gee, thanks Al!
The best I can see is that is was also cancelled in 1949 because they moved the date from October to February -
http://en.wikipedia.o...how_winners_of_Crufts
http://www.ukboxerdog.../cruftsbob.html#1940s (for example)
I would assume that they mean a "normal" year, in which the competition should be held, but with abnormal circumstances prevailing, causing its cancellation.
Does that make sense?
