How football should be played

Could anyone not marvel at the feast of football shown on TV yesterday involving Barcelona. Not the long aimless passes and bifff, bang wallop type served up for our consumption. Neat chips, running off the ball all added to what a beautiful game can be played. Will this type of play be copied by our big teams?

Brilliant to watch. I dream of the day Chelsea played that type of football. But that ain't likely to happen in the very near future at least.

Couldn't agree more Les. Even though Graham Poll (never a Chelsea fan) said we lost because of German ineficiency (three penalties should have been given in the tie), we were really not good enough. Rov, as for Barcelona last night, you can only marvel at their skill and teams like Chelsea have a long way to go to catch them up. Messi last night was what Chelsea haven't had since the Zola days. Oh how we miss him.
