England looking good for the World Cup....
... I know, I said it all before!!
But we've beaten some good sides in the last year or so, and (despite what some cave-dwellers my think) we have a manager that the players respect!!

Peter crouch....bambi on ice but scores goals,,albeit tonight offside and with his arm....
Theo Walcott is super quick but does not seem able to pass or cross at the right time you could see how frustrated shrek was getting....Glenn Johnson is growing on me too, he actually remembered he was a defender tonight.....

At least this is one area where you won't get a major disagreement Joeluke, I think a lot of fans would accept a good performance and maybe reaching the semi-finals as proof of progression.
I've always liked Lennon he has a good combination of speed and balance and he just seems that bit more a team player than Walcott....
I do think don Capello has made a huge difference, it was little things like the players who were subbed early changing and sitting in their suits, just has a whiff of discipline which was sorely needed.

If Crouch is going to be that lucky he has to start every game....
Johnsons goal was a good one though, especially for a defender, I am afraid it's Leighton Who? for me... still it's early days he has been good for his club, I'd be tempted to give him at least another half and see if he's more settled... pleased for Ledley King though... always seemed such a decent honest player, and he's got a steady head, might be better in a pressure situation I was also surprised he can still shift a bit when he needed to.... the one thing JT can't do... And I love JT (I gather the moment his name was on the list all the other players queued to sign up to the no WAGs rule... )
