The Greatest England Goal?
Hello!
With the World Cup just a few days away, I thought I'd get the football juices flowing by asking what you think is the greatest England goal ever scored?
The goal doesn't have to be rated on technical merit alone, it can be based on the magnitude of the game, time of the goal etc.
My two favourite goals are below:
David Beckham Free Kick vs. Greece
A fantastic goal that saw England automatically qualify for the 2002 World Cup Finals in Japan/Korea. Not only did this goal send us through, it also marked the World Cup Redemption of David Beckham after his sending off in France '98. The right man, in the right place, at the right time. Magic.

Paul Gascoigne vs. Scotland
A great goal from a great England player, leaving Colin Hendry's on his backside with a magnificent piece of skill that sticks in English minds even today. Not only was the technique to get around Hendry inch perfect, it was followed up by an immaculate right foot volley, beating Andy Goram in style.

Please post your greatest England goals here. Hopefully we'll get a nice archive going.
The excitement is getting too much for me now... A week is just too long to wait!
